DESCRIPTION

The price is for 1 strand with length ~40cm / ~13 pieces

Used as a semi-precious stone in the manufacture of jewelry (necklaces, pendants, etc.). Howlite is a calcium borosilicate hydroxide. It is usually white, often with veins of other minerals running through the nodules. When dyed, it resembles tyrquoise, although it is easily distinguished from tyrquoise by its inferior hardness. Deposits can be found in USA, Canada, Mexico, Germany, Russia, Turkey.

Info: Howlite is named in 1868 for Canadian chemist Henry How, who discovered it.
